Terms of service

1. The agreement

These terms apply between Margareto Software AS, org. no. 931 338 811, Naustanvegen 10, 7560 Vikhammer (“we”), and the organization that uses Tavleo (“you”). They apply from the time you start using Tavleo. The data processing agreement is part of the agreement. Tavleo is a service for organizations, so consumer protection law, including the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act (angrerettloven), does not apply.

2. The service

Tavleo creates an info screen that is shown on your own TV or screen, and keeps it up to date. You provide the screen and internet access. Departures, weather, road reports, northern lights forecasts and events come from Entur, Meteorologisk institutt (the Norwegian Meteorological Institute), Statens vegvesen (the Norwegian Public Roads Administration), NOAA and EventFeed. We show them as we receive them and cannot guarantee that they are always correct. Changes that the AI assistant suggests are not shown on the screen until you have approved them, and all changes can be undone. To prevent misuse, the service has reasonable limits on how much can be used per day, for example the number of changes, images and uploads.

3. Price and payment

Each organization gets one screen free of charge, with no time limit. It shows the Tavleo logo and a QR code at the bottom, and a short Tavleo poster (8 seconds) every 10 minutes. Each paid screen is shown without the logo and poster and costs NOK 149 per month or NOK 1,520 per year, excl. VAT. Prices are stated in Norwegian kroner, and VAT of 25% is added.

You pay in advance by card through Stripe. With yearly payment, you can also choose to pay by invoice from us, with a payment deadline of 14 days. You receive an invoice with VAT for each payment. If you add screens in the middle of a period, you only pay for the rest of that period.

4. Cancellation

Monthly payment has no minimum term. You cancel in the app at any time, and the screens are shown without the logo until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund a month that has already started.

Yearly payment renews automatically for 12 months at a time and is not refunded. We send a reminder by email at least 30 days before the period renews, and you can cancel before then.

When the paid period ends, one screen switches to the free version with the logo, and the others are paused.

5. Non-payment

If a card payment does not go through, or an invoice is not paid by the due date, we let you know by email. If the payment has not been resolved after 14 days, one screen switches to the free version with the logo, and the others are paused. The screens come back as soon as the payment is in order. If an invoice is paid late, we may charge interest on overdue payments under the Norwegian Act on Interest on Overdue Payments (forsinkelsesrenteloven).

6. Content on the screen

You are responsible for the content you add, including content from calendars, your website and other sources you connect, and for what the AI assistant suggests and you approve. You ensure that this content is lawful and that you have the right to use the images, logos, texts and personal data in it. We have no obligation to check it before it is shown. Departures, weather, road reports, northern lights forecasts and events that Tavleo fetches and selects itself are not your responsibility. For these, sections 2 and 8 apply.

You give us the right to use the content, and the logo and colors from your website, to create and show the screen. We may remove content that is unlawful or infringes the rights of others. If anyone claims compensation from us because of content that you are responsible for under the first paragraph, you cover the claim and our reasonable costs. We notify you as soon as we receive such a claim, and do not accept it without asking you first.

7. Personal data

How we process personal data is described in the privacy policy and in the data processing agreement.

8. Operation and liability

We work to keep Tavleo available around the clock, but cannot promise that the service is never down. We are not liable for indirect loss, for example lost revenue. Our total liability is limited to what you have paid in the last 12 months. The limitations do not apply in the case of intent or gross negligence, and they do not limit your liability under section 6.

9. Changes and termination

We give notice of changes to the terms or prices by email at least 30 days before they take effect. You can cancel before the change takes effect, and you will then be refunded advance payments for time you have not used. The price for a period you have already paid for does not change. If we discontinue Tavleo, we give at least 3 months’ notice and refund advance payments for time you have not used. If you materially breach the terms, we may close the account after giving notice.

10. Governing law and venue

The agreement is governed by Norwegian law, with Trøndelag District Court as the agreed venue (verneting).
